Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day!

As Mother’s Day approaches this weekend, I’ve been thinking a lot about my two  sons, Josh and Mike.  Of course, mothers are constantly thinking about their children–day and night really. But holidays and special milestones serve as a wonderful reminder to me about the important things in life. It’s so easy to get bogged down with the bills, chores around the house, work responsibilities, and all the things that tend to get me all down or worried.

Mother’s Day is actually a difficult day for me because my mom died almost 20 years ago after a long battle with ovarian  cancer. I so wish I could spend just one more day with her, but I am comforted with the many wonderful memories we shared.  This is what I have tried to emulate in my own life with my two boys.

May each of us savor the opportunities to be with family and friends every day
