I’ve just returned from a wonderful week exploring quaint villages, medieval castles and bustling cities along the Rhine River, from Switzerland to France and Germany and ending in Amsterdam… all from the comfort of a river cruise ship, Uniworld’s River Empress. More about all the destinations later, but I wanted to give you a tour of the ship and how the river cruise experience in general works.

  • Renovated/remodeled in 2014
  • Maximum of 138 passengers with 41 crew
  • 62 cabins (all 151 square feet) and 4 suites (214 square feet)
  • Length is 361 feet and beam of 37.5 feet
